PURCHASE -
A non-refundable deposit is required to hold the rabbit of your choice (we will not sell a rabbit to anyone unless deposit is put down).
Non- refundable meaning you will not get your money back unless the rabbit dies, WE (not you) decline your purchase if you've already put a deposit down, or transport declines rabbit for being sick, otherwise no refund will be given.
The deposit (non-refundable) is 50% of the total cost of the rabbit, and the balance is due at pick up. First come first serve meaning first person to put 50% of the total cost of the rabbit (and application signed and filled out) gets the rabbit.
50% of the total cost must be put down or rabbit will not be reserved. You can only send 50%, no less! If you send less it is still not reserved until you send the rest. If someone else sends full payment before you then they will have the rabbit reserved and we will send back your money once it's been cleared.
Once deposit is sent we cannot meet for another 4 days. This is to make sure it has been transferred over. More info on pick up is on the "Pick up" section of the policy.
We have the right to change the price of any rabbit until deposit is put down. We have the right to refuse a purchase of any rabbit at any time (deposit will be refunded as stated above)!
APPLICATION AND AGREEMENT -
We require you to fill out and read over our application and agreement page to be able to get one of our rabbits.
This is only for rabbits that have our pedigreed name/we bred (Sacred Root's ____________)
Note: Once you have read everything you can go to the top of this page and hit the "Application and Agreement Page" button if this is a rabbit we bred
OUR HERD -
If you have bought a rabbit from us (has our pedigreed name Sacred Root's __________) and you plan to sell it, you are required to offer it back to us first for the price you bought it for.
If you need the rabbit to find a new home quickly though and we do not want to keep the rabbit for our breeding program, we will happily take the rabbit back for no fee to help find the rabbit a new home. So you will not have to worry about it (as long as we have the room). We will not be keeping the rabbit as we would pay if we were. This would only be for those that feel they cannot take care of the rabbit any longer and the rabbit needs a home fast. This is just a way to help keep our rabbits safe.
HEALTH -
All rabbits will leave our Rabbitry in good health to the best of our ability (checked by us before they leave). If a kit happens to get sick or die while in our care your deposit can be refunded or you can choose an available kit from another litter.
Transportation, new environment and new feed can cause a lot of stress for a rabbit and that can cause illnesses. Please provide a carrier to take your rabbit home in safely and then provide a quite and calm area for the rabbit for the first week.
Once the rabbit leaves our Rabbitry we cannot guarantee health.
We will also send them home with transition feed. You can have a pedigree if you would like (no extra cost)
QUALITY -
We cannot guarantee how your rabbit will do in shows. We do our best to raise high quality rabbits that meet the standards of their breeds and have great temperaments.
We will always let those interested know if a rabbit is not show quality or may not be. Such as our VM, magpies, harlequins and mixed breeds.
GENDER -
We do our best to make sure your rabbit is the right gender. We check multiple times before they leave our Rabbitry, but we encourage you to check.
No refund will be given if gender is wrong.
PICK UP -
We are a closed Rabbitry meaning we do not meet at our property for the safety of our animals, and us. We meet at 350 N Grandstaff Dr, Auburn, IN 46706 (Family Farm and Home) or somewhere close to there that we agree to meet at.
A kit will never be allowed to leave our Rabbitry before 8 weeks of age and it might be longer depending on how the rabbit is doing with weaning if you are getting a baby or if I feel it should stay longer.
THE REST OF PAYMENT IS DUE AT PICKUP (CASH ONLY). If you can not make it to the date and time we set up, you must let us know 1 hour before pickup time, otherwise your deposit will be forfeited and the rabbit will be back available to anyone.
You must have a carrier to bring your rabbit home in! Once the rabbit leaves our Rabbitry we can not guarantee health, temperament, weight, show placing, and how well they will reproduce. We are no longer responsible for said rabbit once it leaves our Rabbitry!
TRANSPORT -
Rabbit must be 3 months old at least to go on transport. Even if it is one day away from the rabbit turning 3 months old from the date the rabbit gets picked up from transport, it still cannot go on so make sure you ask for when the rabbit will be 3 months old if it isn't already. Also, I will not let a rabbit that is younger then 6 months old go on a transport longer then 6 days, period.
if you are wanting to use transport it is your job to set it up and find a reliable transporter (we can suggest a few for you to look at). You will also be responsible for all transport fees, in no way will we be responsible for them. Once you find a transporter that will work please send us info (Facebook page, website, etc) and sales policy to make sure we approve of the transport.
Transporter must have one of our stops on they're route. Please ask us what our stops are (they can change overtime). If the transporter does not have our stop you can ask if it can be added, but if not you will have to find a different transporter
You can send the deposit for the rabbit before or after you find transport. It is your decision, but you must put the deposit down before sending money to transport so that the rabbit is reserved to you. The rest of the money is due 4 days before the transport starts their trip (before they start their trip, not 4 days before they get to you or me), this is to make sure money goes through before transport gets to us. If the rest of the money is not sent before 12am EST of the 4th day before transport starts their trip, then your deposit will be forfeited and the rabbit will be available to anyone. We will be telling transport that the rabbit is no longer being transported.
If transport declines our rabbit for being sick (which will most likely not happen as we will try to make sure they are healthy to the best of our ability), we will refund you or you can wait until the rabbit is better and setup another transport.
We have the right to refuse any transport.
NOTE -
We offer life long support! You can always keep our number or whatever it is you contacted us through and ask us questions if you have them, and we will answer them to the best of our ability!
We also love to get updates of our buns so feel free to send pictures and videos whenever!
